This was a great experience harvesting a buffalo with this wonderful couple. The day starts with time to sight in your rifle, giving you all the time you need to feel ready. They share their knowledge of the anatomy of a bison (we were both surprised about the spine and heart location). Camille showed us the best place to strive to get a perfect shot. There is so much land as you travel to look for these beautiful buffalo. We saw them first from a long distance, but with Carl and Camille's knowledge of the area and the animals, we were able to get to a place we were comfortable to wait for a clear shot. Camille is the perfect outdoor hostess offering hot drinks and snacks and hand warmers. We enjoyed great conversation and laughs.

Carl was right on hand to help find that perfect shot. After you get take your shot, these 2 hard workers: skin and gut your buffalo. They will take your prepared animal to the main road to your rig and just to make sure they give you a transport form so all know it's your buffalo. If it sounds like we have known Carl and Camille for a long time and are just we are just talking them up....NOPE, we just met them but everything about the way they work, is to make it a great experience for those that choose to hunt their property. It was A++++. We wholeheartedly recommend Law-Free Bison. Check them out online.

  I have been coming to this ranch for more than 10 years now. This is my first time back since Carl and Camille purchased it from Crazy Woman Ranch owners Doug and Mary in 2023. What an experience!! We loved every minute of the hunt this year. Carl and Camille run a professional operation and are very efficient into and out of the ranch. Thanks for the hot coffee and treats too!  Need to throw a shoutout to Tristan as well. What a job he does preparing the bison for transport! We will definitely be back!

They are so fun and so helpful, they do everything possible to get the buffalo you are going for.  Camille has a great Buffalo call that really works!!!!  You could not ask for better guides than these 2 .  I just returned from an unforgettable buffalo hunt, and I can’t recommend it enough! Carl and Camille made the entire experience truly special. From the moment we arrived, they were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making sure we felt comfortable and prepared for the adventure ahead. This was an awesome hunt. My group took 6 buffalo in 2 days. 2 Big Bulls and 4 cows. It was a busy day but they took great care of us and were amazing people. Definitely will be booking again in the near future.

 A buffalo hunt was on my bucket list and it was absolutely incredible!  The animals are magnificent.  Carl & Camille are wonderful hosts.  We learned so much about the Buffalo. The hunt was more than I could have imagined.  They took care of all the skinning and they took very good care of us!  It was a day we won’t forget!

Thank you, Carl and Camille, for another wonderful experience on your beautiful Montana ranch.  This was my fourth time to take a bison from this ranch.  I have thoroughly enjoyed each one, but this years' visit was by far the best. From your advice and guidance on shot placement to the handling of the animal after the shot, this harvest was expertly managed. I am getting a full shoulder mount done so we can continue to admire this great animal. And I very much appreciate your courtesy making it possible for me to take my family with me during the harvest.  It is a memory we will share and retell for many years.  We enjoyed our first meal from this animal last night.  As always, the filets were tender and delicious. Your grass-fed bison produces the very best meat.

 My family and I joined in on the hunt to watch my daughter take a nice animal. The bison meat is phenomenal. We have so much meat we will be eating good for a couple years. Carl and Camille were awesome. They took care of everything right down to getting the meat picked up by the processor. We had a blast and will be back when we run out of steaks.

Your ranch is in a beautiful part of the West with a strong herd of healthy free range bison. We appreciate that you allow your animals to live and graze in a natural manner.

It was such a pleasure to meet you two, we had a lot of fun, and thanks for the guiding and careful dressing out of the animal!

My husband harvested a yearling, and wow, the meat is tender and outstanding! We will be eating well this year, as will our friends! -  and next year will be my hunt!
